Darron Gibson could be in line to make a return to Roberto Martinez’s Everton side for tonight’s Europa League clash with Lille.
The Republic of Ireland midfielder was absent for the Toffees’ scoreless draw with Swansea at the weekend but is expected to be available for selection once again for this evening’s match.
It’s not all good news for Everton, however, with Antolin Alcaraz out with a dislocated shoulder. The Paraguayan defender could be out for up to 12 weeks, according to Martinez.
With John Stones also on the injury list, Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka are the only two centre-backs at Roberto Martinez’s disposal, although youngster Tyias Browning could also be called upon for this evening’s clash at Goodison.
Kevin Mirallas, Bryan Oviedo and Arouna Kone are also unfit to play this evening.
Kick-off at Goodison Park this evening is at 8.05pm.
