It was a pivotal night for David Moyes and a Robin Van Persie hat-trick has bought him a little bit more time as Manchester United overturned a 2 - 0 first leg deficit to reach the Champions League quarter-final.

We were joined by The Guardian's Daniel Harris to analyse the 3 - 0 win over Olympiakos and he was not overly impressed by the performance.

"United didn't actually play that well and it was funny that Olympiakos, who aren't a very good side, had the best of the chances and easily the best player on the pitch was United's keeper. I doubt Moyes will tax himself too much with that," said Harris.

He believes Ryan Giggs' inclusion in the starting line-up made a big difference by being "anonymous" at times but also "creating the sublime moments" that helped swing the results in United's favour.

"Having that intelligence in the midfield makes such a difference. United had Fellaini and Carrick there against Liverpool and they couldn't keep up and take up intelligent positions so I think that's something we'll see in the next round with Giggs in midfield," said Harris.

But he also signaled his surprise at Darren Fletcher's latest absence given some of the qualities he can bring to bear for United.

As for a good quarter-final draw for United, Harris believes Chelsea are the "weakest other team" left in the last-8.
