Former Ireland winger Damien Duff has signed for Melbourne City.

The 35-year-old former Ireland international has signed a one year deal with the club formerly known as Melbourne Heart.

Duff, who missed the tail end of last season through injury, saw his Fulham contract run down and although he has also professed a wish to play in the SSE Airtricity League at some point before retirement, Australia will play host to the next stage of his career.
