Crystal Palace have finally confirmed Alan Pardew as their new manager.

He joins on a 3-and-a-half year contract.

Newcastle released Pardew from his contract so he can take over as the new manager of Crystal Palace.

Pardew, a former player with Palace, takes charge with the team in the Premier League's relegation zone.

He will lead the side in tomorrow's FA Cup third round tie at non-league Dover.
