Crokes survive Cratloe scare to make it 3 in a row

Dr. Crokes of Kerry have won their third consecutive Munster Football title, although the Kerry champions were pushed close by a stunning comeback from Clare’s Cratloe at the Gaelic Grounds.

Colm Cooper was sent off late in the second half and Dr. Crokes had to hang in the face of a ferocious comeback from the unfancied Clare side. The reigning Munster champions led by 10 points to 2 at one point in the game but had to come from behind in the dying moments, with Daithi Casey and Johnny Buckley pointing late. Buckely scored i stoppage time to break Cratloe hearts.

In the Ulster football final Derry’s Ballinderry were 1-13 to 2-6 winners over Donegal side Glenswilly in Omagh.
