Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of tax fraud.

A Spanish prosecutor alleges he's guilty of avoiding paying €14.7m from 2011 to 2014 and has filed a lawsuit against him.

Ronaldo's previously denied any wrongdoing in his tax affairs. He's the latest player in Spain to be targeted after Barcelona star Lionel Messi was found guilty of tax offences last year.

The 31-year-old is the world's best paid athlete according to Forbes and has denied the allegations.

When asked by Portuguese news outlet Radio Television Portuguesa (RTP) about the allegations he replied "Quien no debe no teme", which translates to "He who does not owe does not fear".
