There were a number of senior county semi-finals and finals played across the country today. 

In the Ulster senior hurling championship, Loughgiel Shamrocks will play Slaughtneil in the provincial final after overcoming Ballygalget and Middleton respectively.

In Laois, Borris-Kilcotton and Rathdowney-Errill will have to do it all again after playing out a pulsating 2-26 a piece draw. 

In Cork, Glen Rovers beat Erins Own by 0-19 to 2-11.

In football, Kilmurry Ibrickane and Cratloe will meet again after drawing 0-12 to 1-9 in the Clare decider. In Wexford, Gusserane beat Barntown by the smallest of margins claiming a 0-11 to 0-10 win and their first title in over 40 years.

Kingspan Breffni Park played host to another draw as Ramour Untied and Castlerahan drew 2-11 to 3-8 whilst Aughawillan beat Glencar-Manorhamilton 1-10 to 0-12 to claim the honours in Leitrim. 

Palatine beat Rathvilly to claim the Carlow crown after running out 2-13 to 0-12 winners. Coalisland and Killyclogher have it all to do again after yet another draw. The match finished 1-13 to 0-16.

In Wicklow, Baltinglass beat St. Patrick's 1-14 to 1-9 to take the title in the garden county.
