The Nottingham Post newspaper is reporting that Ireland forward Shane Long is a transfer target for Championship side Nottingham Forest, the team are currently one point off the play-off spots.
The article states that club Owner Fawaz Al Hasawi is willing to meet the players wage demands in order to sign a striker that could help their promotion push.
Long has yet to agree a new contract at West Brom but the departure of Head coach Steve Clarke has left his position uncertain.
The 26 year old has been in and out of the Baggies team this season and has been linked to teams great and small including Everton and now Forest.
In 19 appearances for club and country he's managed just 4 goals although that may not be a true reflection of his form given West Broms struggles at large.
