In La Liga, a draw for the Big Two is a major setback. But every defeat spells the beginning ot a new crisis and that's exactly what Barcelona are facing up to at the moment.
The Catalans lost 1 - 0 to lowly Real Valladolid on Saturday, just two weeks after falling 3 - 1 at Real Sociedad.
Real Madrid are now four points ahead of third-placed Barca who appear increasingly directionless.
"It was definitely the worst performance I had seen from them in a couple of years. They were really at nothing for the whole of the 90 minutes. There was never a feeling that the home team were in trouble," said Dermot Corrigan who joined us on the line from Spain, having attended the game.
Tata Martino continues to take flak from all sides for "betraying" Barcelona's tradition and for regularly tinkering with the team and tactics.
"It does look like the guys like Xavi talk in public that they back him but when they go out on the pitch, it doesn't seem that way.
"It doesn't seem to be working. The players aren't taking it on board, the fans aren't happy with it and there's a feeling that [Martino] is trying to impose something on the players that they're not too happy with," said Corrigan who expects Barca to play more tiki taka style football when they welcome Manchester City to the Camp Nou on Wednesday.
Martino is also not helped by the fact that his main backer Sandro Rosell resigned as club president which is putting his future in doubt.
And with Carles Puyol and Victor Valdes leaving and rumours surrounding Xavi's future, Corrigan also discussed where Barcelona might look to go from here.
