Cork have narrowly defeated Galway to advance to the All-Ireland quarter finals. The Rebels edged past the Tribesmen with a one point win and were made to hang on as a late Galway goal from Michael Meehan narrowed the gap to the minimum.

Galway led by 3 with less than 10 minutes remaining, only to see an Aidan Walsh goal and 4 unanswered points put Cork into a commanding lead within the final 10 minutes.
