UFC President Dana White has said that Conor McGregor is already planning to get back into the octagon but the identity of his opponent remains unknown.

The Featherweight champion went up two weight classes to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 196, a move which ended disastrously for him as he was defeated by second round submission with a rear naked choke.

After the fight, McGregor indicated that his next move is likely to be a return to the Featherweight division where he will defend his crown against another contender. But the name of that fighter is still to be confirmed.

But McGregor will not be lacking in options. Jose Aldo has been calling for a rematch ever since the Crumlin man subdued him in 13 seconds to take the Featherweight belt back at UFC 194, and Frankie Edgar is equally keen to battle McGregor.

But speaking to ESPN today, UFC President Dana White is keeping the world in suspense with regards to who will be given the nod.

''I was at his house last night talking to him. He wants to fight again as soon as possible. He wants to jump back in there and fight again. We’re working on who the next opponent will be…we’ll see what happens.''
