Connacht have got their Heineken Cup campaign back on track with an impressive win over Zebre. Pat Lam’s side were 33-6 winners in Parma and although they failed to bring home the bonus point there will be much to be happy with as they move themselves back into contention in the group following Saracens’ loss to Toulouse last night.
Mata Fifita and George Naoupu were the try scorers for Connacht, with Dan Parks scoring 23 from the boot.
The Italians could only respond with points from Lucian Orquera and by the final whistle Connacht had dominated the game from start to finish.
The Western province pushed on in the hunt for the additional tries and a bonus point in the second half but finished with just the two.
