Connacht made it two wins from two for Irish sides so far in this weekend’s Heineken Cup action with a 20-3 win over Italian side Zebre.
Zebre scored their only points of the game after 16 minutes, with Orquera putting the visitors ahead. Two penalties from Jack Carty had the gap reversed by the half hour mark and a try from Matt Healy five minutes later, which was converted by Carty, sent pat Lam’s side in at the break up by 10 points.
In the second half the only score came from a Robbie Henshaw try on 44 minutes.
The win puts Connacht third in pool 3 and keeps alive hopes of qualification for the Amlin Challenge Cup
