Michael Conlan and Jason Quigley have made it through to the last 16 at the World Championships in Kazakhstan.
Conlan won his bout with a convincing, unanimous decision over Hungary’s Kriszthan Nagy, while Quigley beat Vijender Singh of India.
It wasn’t a perfect day for the Irish team however, as super heavyweight Con Sheehan exited the tournament following a loss to Cuban fighter Yohanndi Ortega on a narrow points decision.
