Conan O'Brien was taping his show on Monday night when he found out about the death of Robin Williams.

After he heard the news, the show taped an additional segment where Mr O'Brien, visibly shaken, expresses his condolences and shock at the news.

He breaks the news to his audience saying: "I'm sorry to anyone in our studio audience that I'm breaking this news."

"This is absolutely shocking and horrifying."
