Coming up on The Picture Show:
Irish actor Chris O'Dowd experienced a rapid career rise since starring in the hit comedy movie Bridesmaids, back in 2011.
Having already amassed a cult following from the Channel 4 comedy series The IT Crowd back in 2006, Bridesmaids introduced the actor to Hollywood movies, Broadway and led to the opportunity of creating, co-writing and starring in the successful Irish production Moone Boy.
On tonight's The Picture Show, Chris describes his latest role in St. Vincent - the story of a young boy whose parents have just divorced and who finds an unlikely friend in the hedonistic, war veteran neighbour. He describes the experience of acting opposite "comedy hero" Bill Murray.
O'Dowd also sheds light on Icon, a biographical movie due for release in 2015. The film tells the story of Irish journalist David Walsh - the man who set out to prove that Lance Armstrong's victories in the Tour de France were fuelled by banned substances.
The interview, which also covers dealing with fame, working with James Franco on Broadway and getting caught up in a lie during an audition, airs tonight on The Picture Show, 6pm, Newstalk 106-108 FM.
