The Roscommon actor took to Twitter today to try to ease the minds of all Leaving Certers who are receiving their results this morning.
The 34-year-old 'Bridesmaids' star pointed out an interesting fact that some very famous and highly acclaimed personalities didn't attend college either.
This point obviously directed at those who may find out today that they haven't received the points they need for a college place.
Dear bad Leaving Cert result getters.. At this hard time, remember that @daraobriain, @MiriamOCal & @MichealDH_ didn't go to college either.

Many of Mr O'Dowd's Twitter followers responded with positive messages but one did pick up on a little error in the tweet.
But the sentiment was there right? Or was Mr O'Dowd playing a little sarcastic joke on everyone...
@BigBoyler @daraobriain @MiriamOCal @MichealDH_ Great point. x
