Chelsea have revealed that winger Mohamed Salah has been spared Egyptian national service.
It was feared that he would have to return home for anything up to three years in order to fulfill his military obligations but has now been given permission to continue his career at Stamford Bridge.
Salah scored twice in six Premier League outings last season after being signed from Basel for £11 million in January.
