Chelsea have agreed a deal for Diego Costa according to Sky Sports.

According to their sources, the Atletico Madrid striker will join the club for just under €40 million this summer.

The combative Brazil-born Spain international has scored 36 goals in all competitions this season and Sky report that the deal with Chelsea will be formally announced in June.

The lack of a prolific striker has been cited as one of the key reasons why Chelsea fell short in all competitions this season with Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and Demba failing to shine consistently.
