Celtic winger Aleksandar Tonev has been banned for seven matches for racially abusing an opponent.

The Bulgarian, who is on loan from Aston Villa, was charged by the Scottish Football Association following a clash with Aberdeen's Shay Logan during a game last month.

Celtic say there will be an appeal.

Tonev has made eight appearances in all competitions for the Hoops.
