Glasgow Celtic’s incredible European season continues tonight with the visit of Italian champions Juventus. Following home wins over Barcelona and Spartak Moscow in the group stages the Scottish side won’t fear Antonio Conte’s side, although they know they got into the tie as underdogs.
Andrea Pirlo will attempt to run the game from the centre of a midfield three for Juventus and Scott Brown can be expected to pay close attention to the World Cup winner, while Georgios Samaras, if fit, will face a tough evening against a miserly Juventus back four.
Juventus won last year’s Serie A title without losing a single game, a run which was extended to forty nine games unbeaten before a defeat at home to Inter stopped them nine short of the all-time Serie A record.
They have already faced Chelsea twice this season, with a 2-2 draw in London followed up with a convincing 3-0 win in Turin.
