Celtic captain Scott Brown has hailed his teammates after winning the Scottish Player of the Year award.

Brown has guided his team to an unbeaten domestic campaign with two matches of the season remaining.

The Glasgow side sit on 103 points after 37 matches and are looking to complete a domestic treble.

They welcome Hearts to Celtic Park on Sunday for their final league game and Brown was happy to share his success with the squad.

"It’s great,” he told the club's official website, adding: “For me, it’s just thanks to all the players for helping me out and digging me out a hole now and then. The whole team has been fantastic the whole season.

"It’s not just about me. When Scotty and Kieran spoke at the PFA Awards and our own awards, they said it was about the team performance. That’s why we have been so solid this season.

“For us, we are a lot fitter than we probably ever have been. We are scoring more goals, we are creating more chances and we are just looking like a right good team. We are all working together and closing people down, we are playing with high intensity just what the gaffer wants us to do and we have been managing to do that week-in, week out.”
