Cork City manager John Caulfield says that there should be a League Manager's Association in Irish soccer.

Caulfield was on Off The Ball tonight as news broke that Sligo Rovers and Owen Heary had parted ways.

When Joe asked him about whether there is an association for League of Ireland managers, he said: "No, there probably should be but no [it doesn't exist]".

Caulfield also spoke about the growing pressure on managers in this day and age.

"When you look around the league, any manager now that loses maybe three or four games, the media are getting them sacked," he said, citing  Heary's situation as an example.

Turning his attention to his own team's development this season, he discussed the campaign so far, while Stuart Byrne was also on the show to talk about the Champions League and Europa League draws from an Irish perspective.
