Newcastle have confirmed the sale of Yohan Cabaye to Paris St Germain.

The Magpies have said that it was for an undisclosed fee. But it is believed that the Premier League side will receive around £20 million for the France midfielder.

The 28-year-old has made over 90 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle since signing from Lille in 2011, scoring 18 goals and notching almost as many assists.

The Magpies have also purchased Dutch international Luuk De Jong on loan from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach. 

If he impresses, Newcastle can sign him permanently for £9 million.

The 23-year-old scored 25 times for Twente Enschede in the 2011/12 season.
