Two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson shot a final round of 66 to win for the ninth time in his career on the PGA Tour.
Watson won the Northern Trust Open by a single shot, finishing ahead of Jason Kokrak and Adam Scott. The victory at Riviera GC was Watson's second at the course in three years.
The 37-year-old will be delighted with his first win of the season. The last time Watson won at Riviera, he went on to win the Masters at Augusta.
It was a testing week for Watson, who had to pass a kidney stone on Monday. "Sunday morning, playing with the kids, I had to go take a bathroom break, and red liquid came out. I said, 'This ain't right.'" He revealed that a doctor cleared him to play after passing the stone on Monday.
