Bryson DeChambeau is keen to end is long running rift with his American teammate Brooks Koepka, according to his coach Mike Schy.

Their feud has been running for almost two years with Koepka criticising DeChambeau's slow play while DeChambeau questioned Koepka's physique.

The row re-ignited in May of this year when Koepka rolled his eyes in the background during a DeChambeau interview recording with Golf Channel.

Schy says both players have "big egos" but DeChambeau "wants it over" before the Ryder Cup gets underway. US captain Steve Stricker stepped in last month in a bid to broker a peace between the duo.

"Whether or not they are both doing it to maximise their global profile, Bryson wants it over," Schy told The Times. "Move on. The bottom line is two big egos."

Schy added that Bryson Dechambeau's outlook is often misinterpreted as "selfish" but he insists 2020 US Open champion loves playing for his country.

"He loves team play. At times, when he's struggling, it can look a little selfish, but the reality is he is doing his best to contribute."
