Clare's Chris Bryan has finished 7th in the Open Water 10 k at the World University games in Russia.

The Ennis man was fourth at one stage of the race.

There's no rest for Bryan who now travels straight to Barcelona for the World Championships on the 22nd July.

It's been a good 24 hours or so for the Irish swimmers Fiona Doyle finished 4^th in the Final of the 50m Breaststroke in a time of  31.40 and was beaten to Bronze, in the smallest possible margin, by Russia’s Valentina Artemeva in 31.39.
