Top jockey Ruby Walsh is out of the remainder of the Cheltenham Festival, after breaking his arm during a fall in the opening race of the day.

He was taken to Gloucester Hospital, and his injury has been confirmed as a compound fracture to his right humerus.

Walsh is the most successful jockey in the history of the festival, and was due to ride the horse On His Own in this afternoon's Gold Cup.
