Blackpool have fined Michael Chopra more than £10,000, and warned him about his future conduct, after he called a training session a joke on Twitter.

The striker also used a swear word twice to complain about having to do extra fitness work.

The former Newcastle and Cardiff striker has since apologised and deleted the tweet.

The fine will be donated to the club's Community Trust, although Chopra has the right to appeal.
