'Big game showings will help Munster players enter Schmidt's thoughts'

Munster and Leinster are facing into a hectic few weeks. Starting with this weekend's clash between the pair at the Aviva Stadium, both teams then go into crucial Heineken Cup quarter finals.

And coming off the back of a Six Nations campaign in which Leinster players dominated the squad numbers-wise, head coach Rob Penney believes games like Saturday night's can be a human advertising hoarding for the Munster players with international ambitions.

"If they want to be entering Joe's thinking at any point, these are the games where you can make your mark by staying in system and staying in framework and being part of a group that's doing really, really well. That's their pathway into the forefront of Joe's thinking," Penney told our own Dave McIntyre earlier today.
