Benfica have announced that they have agreed to sell Lazar Markovic to Liverpool.

The Portuguese club says they have sold their 50 per cent share of the player for just short of £10 million, taking the overall deal to around £20 million.

The Serbian winger is highly rated, helping Benfica to last season's league title and the Europa League final.

However, Liverpool are yet to confirm the deal.
