Jose Mourinho may have gone off Kevin De Bruyne last season but the Belgium midfielder stayed pretty fresh during the USA match on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old Wolfsburg man is Belgium's leading chance creator at this World Cup according to Squawka and his stats against the US were pretty impressive.
Operating in the hole behind the striker Divock Origi and often pulling towards the right in the early stages, De Bruyne created 10 clear cut chances during the 120 minutes, including one assist when he played in Romelu Lukaku for the clincher.
He also followed that up with 11 crosses and four interceptions, three of which were high up the field.
De Bruyne was also involved in Belgium's two most used pass combinations, receiving the ball 18 times from Jan Vertonghen and giving the ball to Eden Hazard a total of 14 times during the match.
