Bayern Munich have announced they are to donate €1million to help with the migrant crisis throughout Europe.

The European champions announced this afternoon they will set up a "training camp" for refugees in the city. They also announced that at the next home game after the international break against Augsberg each player will come to the pitch with two mascots, one from Germany and one migrant.

"Bayern sees it as our social responsibility to help the refugees, needy children, women and men, to help them and to accompany them in Germany," said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Fan groups at clubs around Germany displayed "Refugees Welcome" banners during last weekend's Bundesliga matches in a show of support for those seeking refuge in Europe.
