UCD have set the bar for the rest of the League of Ireland sides in action tonight in the Europa League qualifiers.

A 10-man UCD side battled their way to an away-goals victory over Dudelange in Luxembourg this evening.

Aaron Callaghan's side were beaten 2-1 in today's second-leg. But most importantly they held out against sustained second-half pressure to secure their place in the next round thanks to their 1-0 first-leg win in Belfield.

Ryan Swan's early goal gave the Students the lead, but Sean Coyne's red card shortly before the half-hour left them fighting a desperate rear-guard action, particularly after their hosts scored twice in three minutes just before half-time.
