Paddy Barnes has been beaten in his quarter-final at the World Championships in Kazakhstan.
The two-time Olympic medalist came-out second-best in a scrappy encounter with Jasurbek Latipov of Uzbekistan.
A distraught Barnes remonstrated with the referee after losing the controversial contest and would not speak to the media after leaving the ring.
Earlier, Jason Quigley guaranteed himself at least bronze after the Donegal middleweight won all three rounds of his quarter-final against Zoltan Harcsa.
But there was also disappointment for bantamweight Michael Conlan and heavyweight Tommy McCarthy, who both lost their quarter-finals during the morning session.
Next up for the Irish team will be light heavyweight Joe Ward, who meets Nikita Ivanov.
