Manchester City have been dumped out of the Champions League.

The Sky Blus failed to pull off the win that they needed against Barcelona, losing out 1-0 on the night, which resulted in a 3-1 aggregate defeat for the Premier League holders.

Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic broke the deadlock in the 31st minute after controlling a superb cross from Lionel Messi before lofting his shot over Joe Hart.

Barca dominated the entire game and would easily have won by more if not for some inspired saves by Hart.

City did have a chance to get a goal from the spot in the second half, but Sergio Aguero saw his attempt saved.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also through to the Champions League quarter-finals after a Carlos Tevez scored twice and created another in their 3-0 win at Borusia Dortmund that saw them wrap up a 5-1 aggregate victory over the 2013 finalists.
