Barcelona are considering plans to expand and renovate the Camp Nou or build a new stadium.
The club want to expand the current ground from a 95,000-seater stadium to one with 105,000 seats and a roof.
But they are also looking at building a new 105,000 arena.
The Catalans' board of directors will make a concrete decision in early 2014.
"Both would have a capacity of 105,000 spectators, the stadium would be covered," said the board's spokesperson Toni Freixa who also said that the financial outlay required would not harm the club.
A new stadium has been at the back of Barcelona's thinking for some time.
