Chelsea are up to third place in the Premier League after a 4-0 win away to Stoke.

Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard were both on target after two own goals from Ireland International Jon Walters.

John Terry made his return for Chelsea and gave away a penalty but Walters missed the spot kick on the day he made his 100th appearance in the top flight.

Chelsea are the first team to win at the Britannia in the league this season.

Everton had to settle for scoreless draw at home to Swansea.

Southampton beat Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park which means Villa drop into the relegation zone.

Rickie Lambert scored the decisive penalty.

Reading came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at home to West Brom.

Romelu Lukaku scored both goals for the Baggies but Jimmy Kebe, Adam Le Fondre and Pavel Pogrebnyak were on target for Reading in the last eight minutes.

It finished 1-1 between Fulham and Wigan at Craven Cottage 

Georgios Karagounis put the home side ahead but Franco Di Santo equalised for Wigan.

Norwich and Newcastle drew 0-0 at Carrow Road

Sunderland beat West Ham 3-0 thanks to goals from Sebastian Larsson, Adam Johnson and James McClean.

Earlier on in the day QPR and Tottenham drew nil all at Lofftus Road but QPR end the day at the bottom of the table.
