Nicholas Roche has confirmed that he will miss the Vuelta a Espana after contracting bacterial pneumonia which he blamed on "bad air conditioning" in Rio.
The race starts this Saturday, August 20th.
Roche, who was left out of Team Sky's squad for the Tour de France, but competed in Rio for Ireland alongside cousin Dan Martin, added that he was gutted and that he will be back in action in September.
