Fionnuala Britton admits her second place finish at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country on Saturday has made her reconsider plans for the season ahead.
Britton finished seven seconds behind Emelia Gorecka of Britain (21:36) over the 6km course.
“It’s a nice way to start the season,” she told Feidhlim Kelly in the Irish Examiner.
“I suppose it’s better than my last few but you always want to win.
"It was a good race - it was tough, it was mucky, it was absolutely freezing.”
With regards too running indoors and cross country in the coming months, Britton added: “I really don’t know. After this weekend, I’m going to have to plan again.”
The Kilcoole runner helped Team Europe to victory in the women’s event at Holyrood Park, with Dunboyne’s Sara Treacy (16th) and Michelle Finn of Leevale (22nd) also playing their part.
