Tottenham boss Andre Villas Boas says that the club are counting on Gareth Bale "for the future".

His comments come despite reports in Spain that the Welsh star has told Spurs that he wants to join Real Madrid.

Spanish sports daily newspaper, Marca says that Bale has already agreed a 6-year deal with Madrid and is now waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement over the transfer fee.
