Irish boxing coach of the year for 2013 Pascal (Packie) Collins has been involved in some nights as a trainer and coach and he's hoping for a few more with Gary "Spike " O'Sullivan and Stephen Ormond among others.
Collins is a brother of Steve and Roddy and was a decent Pro himself fighting 16 times and losing twice and drawing once before becoming a trainer learning his craft in America with Freddie Roach among others.
Cork man Spike lost his WBO International Middleweight late last year but admits he didn't perform on the night and is hoping to get back to the big time via bout with Chris Eubansk junior in Dublin this April.
That could be part of a card that also includes Stephen Ormond who'll defend his WBO lightweight European title , the 30 year old Dublin fighter hopes to earn a World title shot by the end of the year.
I joined Collins at his Celtic Warrior gym in Corduff Dublin and spoke to him about what lies in store for his fighters, a possible link with Frank Warren and if Andy Lee and Matthew Macklin is ever going to happen.
