Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United have acquired one of the world's "great" managers in Louis van Gaal.

The Netherlands coach succeeds David Moyes at Old Trafford, and will take over after the World Cup on a three-year contract.

Mourinho worked under Van Gaal at Barcelona and has always been open about his admiration for his former mentor.

He admitted that he is pleased that the Dutchman is coming to the Premier League.
