Kelly Proper may have had a flirtation with the Heptathlon but her aims for 2014 very much lie with the long jump and 200 meters.

An injury hit 2012 was a downer for the Waterford athlete however she bounced back in 2013 and in July was named Athlete of the Irish championships after winning the long jump,  the 100 and 200 meters as well as the  4 x 100 metre relay.

Ahead of next weekends Irish Indoor Championships in Athlone Proper spoke to me at this weekends Park Hotel Waterford sports awards in Dungarvan and outlined her aims and ambitions for 2014.
