Atletico Madrid are La Liga champions following a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou. The draw was enough to see Diego Simeone’s side limp over the finish line ahead of Barcelona and neighbours Real Madrid
Alexi Sanchez put Barcelona ahead with a thunderous top corner drive in the 33rd minute.

With a lead Barcelona looked comfortable to hold out, but Diego Godin rose unmarked to head home from a corner in the 49th minute to bring Atletico level.

The underdogs lost star man Diego Costa during the match but maintained their lead in the second half and went on to take their first league title since 1996.
