Ashley Cole has arrived in Italy to begin talks over a potential move to Roma.

The defender is now a free agent after Chelsea decided not to renew his contract.

At the weekend his agent suggested that the former England international had many offers from foreign clubs, but it seems Roma is his primary destination after the club posted a picture of the defender on their official Twitter feed, with the message "Welcome to Rome Ashley!".
