Arsenal are working on a deal to bring Olympiakos defender Kostas Manolas to the Emirates according to reports.
The Mirror claim that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has identified the Greece international as the man to replace former club captain Thomas Vermaelen who left for Barcelona last week.
The 23-year-old was part of the Greek squad for the 2014 World Cup and was the highly-rated defender was an ever present as the team reached the last-16.
Manolas also has Champions League experience with Olympiakos, having joined the Greek champions from AEK Athens in 2012.
According to Squawka stats, he won three-quarters of his tackle duels in Brazil and won over 70 per cent of his aerial battles.
