Arsenal continue their strong start to the season with a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace in the London derby.

The Gunners took the lead through a Mikel Arteta penalty in the first half and added a second from Olivier Giroud with just a few minutes left in the game.

Mikel Arteta was later sent off for a foul on former Arsenal man Marouane Chamakh.

The win puts Arsenal five points clear at the top of the table in advance of the afternoon Premier League kick offs.
