Arsenal have been dealt a hammer-blow with the news that Santi Cazorla has been ruled out of action for three months.

The influential Spanish midfielder will join the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck on the treatment table.

Arsenal have 10 players on the sidelines as they try to maintain a Premier League title challenge and progress to the next stage of the Champions League and will sorely miss Cazorla who has been a key cog as a deep-lying playmaker alongside the more defensive Francis Coquelin, who is also out for a number of weeks with a knee injury.

Cazorla sustained the injury against Norwich on Sunday but was not replaced as no more substitutions could be made, with manager Arsene Wenger saying the midfielder's problem worsened as the game progressed.
