Andy Lee says he is "disappointed" to have missed out on a potential bout with former WBA Middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs.

Instead in the last few days it was confirmed that Cork native Gary "Spike" O'Sullivan has verbally agreed to the fight, with contracts expected to be signed in the coming days.

Jacobs was world champion from 2014 to 2017, after recovering from a rare form of bone cancer for which he was diagnosed in 2011.

His successful comeback to the sport after 19 months out earned him the nickname "The Miracle Man".

Speaking on tonight's show Lee said he's expecting a tough evening for O'Sullivan if the fight goes ahead, explaining that Jacobs "may have the wrong style" for Spike to continue his winning run.

Lee dropped into OTB Towers to discuss yesterday's news that Michael Conlan has left Manny Roble's The Rock Gym in Los Angeles, and will instead train under Adam Booth in London.
